The Agony of Silence

The agony of silence

Comes in threes

Multiplying the wrong

That agony isn’t free

The sound of the hound

Comes and it goes

From a secret alley way

No one ever knows

Bells and car crashes

Flowers in sand

A smile lingers on

In the palm of a hand

The fire of dreams

Often forgotten

Waltzes with desire

In a shirt of cotton

A noon time moon

Joins in a song

Without any words

Of righteous or wrong

The harmony of sound

From an empty road

Withers from the sun

Into a heavy load
