a poet’s epithet

an arrogant poet writes

everyday, all day long. he

thinks he has some kind

of magic to slap the world

in the face with. of people

lost inside a bubble. at the

end of the day, he sits and

wonders what people will

write about him when he’s

dead. he lived life to the fullest.

he was always laughing. he

had a big heart. all of it bullshit.

a good poet has a sad soul and

the temperament of a badger.

he coughs from years of

smoking weed and cigarettes.

he knows young people write

better poems than old poets.

someone will say he wrote good

poetry once. now he’s writing

everyday all day long.
